  Where is their Scriptural proof?

  that people who discover the jehovah's witnesses and their watchtower bible and tract society are not nor ever have been approved by god to 'speak' for him and then leave the group are not going to be resurrected?

  according to the bible everyone who has ever lived experiences a resurrection, so where does the wt 'no resurrection' teaching originate other than in the demented minds of the wt hierarchy?

  i have only been here a couple of weeks, and while i find most of you to be kindhearted, understanding and supportive, i can't help but get the feeling that there are some of us who are not who they say they are.

  i'm not trying to be presumptuous, but do you think some people pretend to be x-witnesses just to mess with us?

  Convenient as it would be for you, if I were to skip over your comment, or leave the board as you suggest, I prefer to stay and speak my mind as you do.

  Who appointed you as the conscience of the world? Why don’t you get off your soap box and stop judging everyone.

  These other posters have empathy but that does not mean they can’t express opinions about the lack of initiative at a local level. Empathy is useless unless it is converted into action.

  i should give some background before the question(s) for you all..... my older brother was born and raised a witness.

  left with the rest of us when my mom dad herself although he was the one asking whether or not it was wise---after all the end might come.

  he was brought up with the whole women being inferior thing....or in the least there being whores and mothers and nothing else.

  Everybody has double standards they are as desirable and good as a double edged sword, which is what I use. My motto is, “Live and let live, unless you have to kill,” which is an occupational hazard for me.

  This 21 year old girl has discovered the difference between men and boys. Maybe you should try an older man and find out what you are missing.

  any religion that claims it is the only correct one is obviously wrong.

  by it's arrogance it becomes mutually exclusive of any other religion.

  when one steps back they can see that the contradiction of one religion over the others is a proof that they all must be wrong.

  It takes guts to live without the belief that the gods are holding your hand. I’ve seen Christians in Rome about to be killed by lions standing praying for Christ’s sake. If he was really helping them they wouldn’t get eaten.

  When they set the lions on me I kill them. I don’t stand around expecting help from on high. Self reliance is my motto. How do you think I’ve survived for two thousand years?

  All this religious clap-trap is as much use as a gladiator with a broom handle in the in the arena. Well you know where you can stick it! Religion that is!

  New Testament Paradise Earth

  one of the things that bothers me is the very little or almost non-existent way the paradise earth is talked about in the new testament.

  i've never heard a dub even think about that for one second.. the only occasions i can think of that the dubs use to show the new testament does in fact talk paradise earth is the scripture at matthew 5:5 (about mild tempered ones, or meek inheriting the earth), revelation 21:3,4 (about no more sickness, sorrow, suffering nor death) and jesus on the cross saying that the guy next to him would be with jesus in paradise.. none of these are overly convincing.

  why didn't the apostles talk more about the paradise.

  last night my ex boyfriend finally admitted to me that he cheated on me whilst we were going out.

  what is irking me most is that i've asked him before if he had and he totally denied it.
